Many Chinese people have a common hobby.
It is planting vegetables! We plant vegetables
everywhere, even in space and Antarctica(南极)!
In February 2022, Beijing will hold the Winter
Olympic Games. Designers turn the rooftops(屋顶)
of eight buildings in the Winter Olympic Village
into farms. Athletes from around the world can
try planting vegetables there, too!
Chinese people's love for planting vegetables
came from a long time ago. Zheng He was a great
navigator(航海家) in the Ming Dynasty. It is said
that he planted ginger(生姜) on the ship during
his travels.
Today, there are 7,000 different varieties(品种)
of vegetables in China. some came from other
countries long a time ago, such as carrots, potatoes
and tomatoes. Some are unique to China, such as
black fungus(木耳), Chinese cabbage and bamboo
shoots(竹笋).

从上面例子你会发现，during是指某一段期间的意思，
而且during后面接的不一定是时间，可以接很多名词。
例如上方接的就是absence和night。

Some are unique(独有的) to China, such as black
