What is liaison Liaison is a common phonetic phenomenon. In a group sense, two words can be read together in a certain situation. It can help us speak English more fluently and naturally. The common cases of liaison are as follows. (1)If the former word ends with a consonant, and the following word begins with a vowel, we can read them together. For example: check it up,let it go. (2)If the former word ends with a "r" or "or", and the following word begins with a vowel, we can read them together. For example:remember it. (3)If the former word ends with a vowel, and the following word begins with a vowel, we can read them together, too. For example: please copy it, who else, go away. In this class, I mainly help students under the liaison by giving examples. Due to being short of time, I didn't too many examples to practice. In the actual teaching, I will cite as many example as possible and design various activities to help students apply the rules into their English learning, for example :playing games, making dialogs.
